At the Penn Relays in the Championship of America 4 x 800 Relay yesterday Williams snatched the baton and zeroed in on the competition, blazing through the 400 in 52.7 while picking off the stragglers at will. Williams, who posted the fastest schoolboy split in the trials (1:51.4), entered the exchange zone in eighth place with a sizzling 1:51.2 clocking.

With his 1:51.2 leg, the 15th fastest 800-meter split ever by a high schooler at the Relays, Willaims only a junior showed his talent on the big stage.
